The Ferrari Dino 308 GT4 unveiled at the 1973 Paris Auto Show was a stunning departure. The name had become so closely associated with Pininfarinas curvaceous 246 that this new angular shape by Bertone — which hadnt done a Ferrari body in years — was shocking in comparison.
Add to that the presence of Ferraris first production V-8, the fact that this was the marques first midengine 2+2, and the reality that the car didnt actually wear the Ferrari badge, and controversy reigned.

What press and public didnt realize was the four-seat Ferrari Dino 308 GT4 was not the replacement for Pininfarinas two-seat Ferrari Dino 246. That replacement was still two years away. This Dino pointed Ferrari in a new direction, a departure enhanced by the 308 label. It identified Ferraris new 3.0-liter V-8, which mounted transversely behind the small rear seats.

This Ferrari Dino 308 GT4 in Iconic Giallo. is a stunning example in every respect. A truly faultless car, 61,000 fully documented miles during which time it has been painstakingly restored ( in 1999/2000 ) since which time only 12000 miles have been completed.With the period light Crema interior , it is easy to appreciate that the car enjoyed several visits to F.O.C Concourse events during its prior ownership.
